Nostradamus C1 Q48: Prophets name complicates time -ciphers
Copyright: Allan Webber, December 2015, Mar 2023

Verse C1 Q48  contains one of the seven anagrams for anchor. All seven are in Centuries I to VI. This  conforms to my hypothesis that Nostradamus had a master copy that was not disrupted and his selection for the published works  although disrupted contain a bias based on the location of his story lines in his master copy.

The presence of the anagram for anchor indicates this is one of the verses about his methods. And this being the first with that anagram makes it the anchor for the astronomy aspects that he claims underpins his prophecies.

This verse like C1 Q47 references Nostradamus' use of astronomic code but this isn't restricted to calendar calculations since here he uses one of the major astronomic cycles to generate fixed astronomic dates within the prophecies. The first line of text indicates that his modern era predictions begin in the early 1930s.

Nostradamus Verse C1 Q48 Nostradamien prophet manipulates Jesus legend time ciphers. This is deducible from the twenty years of the Moon's reign in the text of the first line. The moon-year is the perfect cycle of nineteen solar years when like the sun the moon renews its path and twenty of these added to 1555 the date when this verse was published gives a date of 1935.

This verse has a further importance since it clearly shows that Nostradamus doesn't consider the end of the world is within his visionary range. It can be implied from his use of 'When the exhausted sun will take up his cycle' that the 7,000 year reign mentioned in the second line takes us way beyond the 3797 date he gives for the range of his Prophecies.

 C1 Q48

When twenty years of the Moon's reign have passed
another will take up his reign for seven thousand years
When the exhausted Sun takes up his cycle
then my prophecy and threats will be accomplished.

The first line has consecutive anagrams referring to the a source namely Paulean Legend. (gne de l - alune pa). Paulean only occurs in two other quatrains beside this one so it qualifies as a rare anagram.

This verse shows the purpose linking Nostradamus' sources since the second line has anagrams which say NOSTRADAMIEN PLANETTARIUMS Animals retained as true harmonic time-ciphers. Alternate anagrams also suggest this is the true talisman. In the fourth line the anagrams state I complicate time roles Prophet name MEANTIME IN PTOLEMI COMPACTILE MAP ECTOPLASMIC (spirit) SOLAR TITLE. Most of these anagrams are extremely rare with animals the most abundant at six occurrences. And these ideas unite the work of Agrippa with those of the astronomer Ptolemy since both these men used the idea of musical harmonies to explain the movement patterns of the planets against the stars. In his work on planetary movements Agrippa suggests substitute names as code for both planets and significant asterisms with such a set of names being that of animals and another that of demons.
