Nostradamus C4 Q55: Laws of cremation invoked in Europe.
Copyright: Allan Webber, December 2015
This verse in both text and anagrams has tones that
suggest it is about laws surrounding death and burial rites. Anagrams that
support this view include
cremation (
aincte Mor),
prestorage (
ort
preſage) and
statute (
ſtatue t). In ancient times the
shroud used for royalty was a linen cloth treated with an expensive dye
that coloured the cloth a permanent shade of purple. There is evidence
that the last line of this verse alludes to this practice. This link to the ancient dye industry is based on the
anagrams for
Tyrriane
purple (
uple pr -ier Tyran),
rariety
(
ier
Tyra) and
Etruria (
eurtri
a) since the highly
expensive tyrian murex (source of purple dye) was based in Etruria in
ancient times. And the lettering 'an meurtri aux die'
is itself suggestive of anagrams for Tyrian murex dye.
Other anagrams impy this
isue becomes relevant at the time that a great comet passes close to the
earth.
C4 Q55
When the crow on the tower made of brick For seven hours will
continue to scream: Death foretold, the statue stained with blood,
Tyrant murdered, people praying to their Gods.
Quant la corneille ſur tout de brique joincte Durant sept
heures ne fera que crier Mort preſagee de ſang ſtatue taincte
Tyran meurtri aux dieux peuple prier
Note: E. Cheetham shows
'sur tout' in first line while others show 'sur tour'.
Extra Info:
Purple was the color worn by
Roman Emperors and magistrates, and later by Roman Catholic
bishops.
Since that time, purple has been commonly associated with royalty and
piety.
As early as the 15th century BC the citizens of
Sidon and
Tyre, two cities on the coast of Ancient
Phoenicia, (present day Lebanon), were producing purple dye from a sea
snail called the
spiny dye-murex.
The Roman custom of wearing purple
togas may have come from the
Etruscans; an Etruscan tomb painting from the 4th century BC shows a
nobleman wearing a deep purple and embroidered toga. (Wikipedia entry on
