The first line of this verse holds the unusual phrasing of a lady of ugly beauty.

Such usage becomes meaningful in the context of a mutant woman whose new powers are feared and despised by those who are unchanged.

This verse also contains the only non-trivial anagram of Jupiter as well as a cluster of anagrams that suggest it coincides with a rare time when the eternal stars intersecting Jupiter on a daily basis, mirror the ancient path of the Bears.

In its entirety the story blends well with others of the series in which a widow strives to maintain the seed-line from which her powers derive.
