The following verse is one of two containing a highly
defining reference point, that of Robert Thomas Malthus the eighteenth to
nineteenth century finance expert who foresaw the inevitable demise of the
growth model on a finite planet.
The validity of that reference is based on the anagrams for
Malthusian's
debtors(mans
ſi hault desbor) in the
first line.
Malthusians only occurs in this verse while debtors appears
in two others. The two terms have great correlation since Malthusians alludes to
followers of Malthus' thesis on population risks, and writings on this topic
arose out of his pessimism of the poor ever escaping their state of poverty
because of the imbalance between debtors and creditors.
[Robert Thomas] Malthus became widely known for his theories
about change in population. HisAn Essay on the Principle of Population [1798CE] observed that
sooner or later population will be checked by
famine
anddisease,
leading to what is known as a
Malthusian catastrophe. He wrote in opposition to the popular view in
18th-century Europe that saw society as improving and in principle as
perfectible. He thought that the dangers of
population growth precluded progress towards a
utopian
society: "The power of population is indefinitely greater than the power
in the earth to produce subsistence for man". Wikipedia

The name and terminology are references that
only a prophet or chance could have incorporated into any work before the population
theories of Malthus were first published, yet there are powerful indicators that
Nostradamus or a co-author was responsible for placing this connection to Malthus into his own
work.
A basis for the above conclusion that Nostradamus' was using knowledge
of the future comes from the text in this verse.
The first two lines
refer to a great flood which is prominent throughout his prophecies and
accompanying prefaces. This flood through the numerous references can be
deduced to be in the future.
In the last two lines of text there is the
reference to an enigmatic form of fire and this is enlightened only by
the content of modern physics within the anagrams of the second line.
The
anagrams that deliver both a modern setting and an explanation of the
exinguished mysterious form of fire areradio-nuclear (ra Deucalion r)
anddenuclearisation ( Deucalion renaiſt).
These two terms are also only found in this verse.
From this and other verses one can suggest that in 2098CE the Malthusian
expectations will be fully appreciated.
The scenario this verse depicts is consistent with the tale of devastation at
the end of this century as can be seen in my papers on
Floods
,
21st Century war
and
Fire in
the Sky.
